Our Beliefs

We believe in one God, who created the universe, is holy, loving, merciful, forgiving, compassionate and just.

We believe God has always existed and will continue to reign over His creation for all eternity and will judge the world in righteousness.

We believe God exists and glorifies Himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the godhead is equal in power and glory, possessing identical attributes and perfections.

We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, was written by men divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Also called the Scriptures, the Bible is the perfect treasure of divine instruction, completely true and trustworthy, presenting the revelation of God the Father and Jesus Christ.

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, originally without sin yet by choice sinned against God.

Because Adam, the first man, is the head of the human race, his fall and spiritual death have become the fall and spiritual death of every person.

And because of our sin nature, all men are enslaved to sin and spiritually dead—unable to please God or come to Him apart from His grace.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.  He is both fully man and fully God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the Virgin Mary.

We believe that Jesus accomplished redemption for His church through His death on the cross and justifies believers before God through His physical resurrection from the dead.

We believe that Christ ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father and continually intercedes on our behalf.

We believe that Jesus will return one day to judge all men and will establish His kingdom on Earth, ruling and reigning forever.

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the godhead, divinely inspired the Scriptures, written both before and after Christ lived on the earth.

The Holy Spirit exalts Christ, enables believers in Christ to understand the truth of the Scriptures and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

The Holy Spirit affects the new birth, baptizes every new believer into the body of Christ at conversion, and seals them until the day of redemption. He sanctifies and comforts believers, and He bestows spiritual gifts upon the church for its edification and the glory of Christ.

We believe that salvation involves the redemption of the entire man, and is offered freely to all who repent of their sin and trust in Jesus Christ—who by His own shed blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer through His crucifixion and resurrection.

Salvation is only possible by grace alone through faith in Christ alone.

We believe that Jesus Christ is head of the church, a group of people called to be His bride from every tribe, tongue and nation to worship and glorify God now though all eternity.

We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament.

Local churches should be independent, autonomous bodies of believers who are led by pastors, yet ultimately operate under the headship and authority of Jesus Christ.

We recognize water baptism (following conversion) and the Lord’s Supper as the two ordinances commanded for believers in the local church.

The believe the mission of the church is to preach the Gospel to all peopleglobally, baptizing and teaching them to follow Jesus, gathering them into churches, and enabling them to fulfill their Christian calling among their own people.
